Poem: flightless

6 inklings - saturday

i wish i treated you better
the goosepimples riding up your arm
you never spoke of the worries
the slow slur at the back of your throat
and the small trembling fingers
like a child again
like a small insignificant soul
who means more than a thousands of birds
taking flight in the sky.
